A successful shampoo is essential to the health and beauty of your hair.

How to choose your shampoo?

It is important to choose a shampoo that suits you.

Depending of your hair type, the appropriate shampoo will gives all nutrients needed by your hair. There is a wide range of shampoo suitable to each case.

The main categories are: oily / dry / curly / coloured hair / very sensitive scalp / dandruff / hair loss / irritation...

A high quality of shampoo will give the specific needs to your hair and scalp. Do not hesitate to ask your hairdresser.

How to proceed?

Start by brushing your hair. A proper brushing of the will help to remove knots or back combing, take away all fallen hair and remove hairspray or gel.

Wet your hair abundantly; take care that the water penetrates into the hair and neck.

Apply the shampoo through your hair; a small amount like the size of a coin is enough for high quality shampoo.

Massage your scalp with your fingertips until the shampoo foams, it stimulates blood circulation and relaxes the scalp. This is the scalp that needs to be washed and be free of sweating, seborrhoea and residues.

Do not scratch with nails even if you have oily, itchy scalp or dandruff, it will activate the process.

Rub gently everywhere, do it methodically, from top to bottom, left to right.

If your last shampoo was done more than two days ago, it is best to proceed with a second shampoo, as the hairdressers do. It will emulsify much more easily and the foam will be light and plentiful.

You can then drag the foam on your lengths to wash gently.

Leave on your shampoo 1 to 2 minutes, the active agents will perform better.

Rinse abundantly after each shampoo. This step is as important as washing. A bad hair rinse will lose all the benefits of shampoo and become dirty more easily.

Finish the rinse with cold water, it helps closing your cuticle and makes your hair shinier.

Wring your hair and apply a conditioner, mask or no rinse spray if necessary.

How often to wash it?

It all depends on the environment and the type of your hair.

Hair subject to pollution, cigarette smoke or oily scalp can be washed every 2-3 days.

Hair is in a healthy environment, or with dry trend need only 1-2 shampoos per week.

Be careful if you suffer from scalp problem, washing your hair every day may sensitise or disturb the hydro-lipid film and the skin flora.

However, if you do not have a particular problem, the frequency does not matter. You can even make a light shampoo every day, especially for those who have a short haircut or easy hair to style!
